NewRiver own a portfolio of nearly 700 community pubs across the UK, alongside our wider retail and leisure portfolio.
NewRiver are long-term investors in the pub sector and over the past 6 years we have gradually built up a portfolio of community pubs across the UK.
In May 2018 NewRiver acquired the pub company Hawthorn Leisure to allow us to continue to grow our pub portfolio with a first-class pub-operating platform with a clear objective of creating successful and sustainable community pubs.
The combined portfolio now totals nearly 700 community pubs across England, Scotland and Wales. NewRiver continue own the pub estate and it is run day to day by our Hawthorn Leisure business and operating platform.
We are highly active owners and managers who work closely with our pub partners and stakeholders to help create value and drive the performance of our pubs. We focus on building long term relationships, developing sustainable businesses and working with experienced partners to identify projects to improve, extend or re-activate space to create new ways of generating footfall, enhancing the customer environment and driving profitability.
CODE OF PRACTICE
NewRiver has signed up to The Voluntary Code of Practice formulated by the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA) and the Independent Family Brewers of Britain (IFBB). The Code sets out the minimum requirements and standards governing the operation of tied public houses by companies with less than 500 tied premises.
